The ConsultResearch companies, Delaware corporations based in South Florida, provided research and consulting services to high-tech businesses for 22 years; peripheral activities included computer and Internet services, export of high-technology gear to overseas clients, and design and construction of safe rooms in residences. Although the last firm closed in 2021, Ernesto Martin, the firms' founder, still consults pro bono for friends.

Ernie has a Master's degree in Engineering from Caltech and spent 30 years in engineering & executive positions with satellite & aviation firms (see Résumé). He has consulted for GE, been an adviser to the U.S. State Department, been widely quoted in the press (including 2 articles in London's Financial Times), and ran 2 high-tech companies as Executive VP and CFO.
