Ernesto Martin, an award-winning aerospace engineer, spent 20 years in the space business (from research to running satellite programs), drifted to the business side and ended up running two high-tech companies. He has a Master's degree from Caltech, has been a satellite consultant to GE and an adviser to government agencies including the U.S. State Department, has published widely on technical and business matters, and was often quoted in the press, including two articles in London's Financial Times (Europe’s top business newspaper).

Had increasingly responsible positions in R&D, engineering and business at the world's largest international satellite communications firm, with over 50 geosynchronous satellites in orbit. Posted in Europe for 2 years with the European Space Agency (ESA).

Interests

Before college Mr. martin spent 5 years in the speed-equipment and car racing business. A self-educated architect, he designed 3 of his residences, including a beach house in a Bahamiam out-island which he reached for over 20 years flying his twin-engine airplane.
